My story.. stop, breathe, be still & connect

My story…

Some years ago now, my health; both mentally and physically was chaotic. I felt like I was just getting through the days. I had lost touch with who I really was; well actually, I starting to question how long or if I knew who I truly was!

I had always been deeply connected to nature, the outdoors and wild swimming. I know this is the reason I managed to keep ‘a float’ for so long, however those moments started to grow, where I couldn’t turn to my safe place and I had nothing to support me or ground me in those specific moments.

It came to a point where I had to stop and get support, otherwise I knew I would continue to be on a downward spiral with my health. This was my journey to discover what worked and supported me.

My biggest discovery, the one I lean into everyday and feel is the foundation for life is our breath. It’s the one thing we have with us and can count on in any given moment to connect us with our body and mind. When something comes up in our daily lives that can trigger us or activate a reaction within us, it’s our breath we can tap into, connect and take control of any given moment/situation.

I have worked with some amazing people, completed different certifications, workshops, read lots of books, I’m part of some incredible networks and researched areas that I felt compelled to dive deeper into. Everything I have done has helped me to find my balance, through Breathing techniques, Neuroanatomy, Neuro movement, Nutrition, Cold water therapy, Meditation and Nature therapy.

I started to see real changes in all aspects of my health.

I had discovered specifically what worked for me, by tailoring everything I had learned over the years.

I don’t believe we are meant to be happy, on top of the world, all the time. The highs and lows of life are to be embraced. What I do now realise, embrace and live by is, I have a choice. When the lows happen, I now know what to do.
